University of Canterbury

University of Canterbury Semester Information

The University of Canterbury is located in Christchurch, NZ. Christchurch brings a mix of old and new. This South Island city, once known for its neo-gothic architecture and gardens, is charged with the energy of change and re-growth after the earthquakes of 2011. Amongst the historic buildings that are still standing, you’ll find pop-up shops and “food forests”. The great thing about Christchurch is how close it is to the outdoors. Located adjacent to Christchurch are the Port Hills, the center of New Zealand Sport Climbing and Mountain Biking. An hour and a half away are the Southern Alps – world class hiking, camping, and adventures. Also – the beach is there too!
